Deleting your data
Last updated September 2026
Written in plain language to describe exactly how LimeLight works today. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer; if anything here is unclear, write to us and we will answer.
Delete it yourself, in a minute
Sign in, open your account page, and choose Delete my account at the bottom. Type the email address of the account to confirm. It happens at once; there is nothing to wait for and nothing to undo. If you want a copy first, the same page has Download my data: one file with everything the account holds on our servers.
Or ask us
Write to olkona75@gmail.com from the address on the account and say you want it deleted. We confirm it is your account, delete it the same way, and reply when it is done — within thirty days, usually much sooner. If you used Facebook or Instagram with LimeLight, this is also how to ask for anything connected to that use to be deleted.
What is deleted
Your sign-in (email and password), your account and plan, unused release passes, your referral link and credits; the settings of projects synced to your account; the looks you shared with the community; everything in the label tools — artists, albums, tracks, lyrics, AI drafts and the files you uploaded for them; Chrome extension tokens; your place on the waiting list, if you joined it. Any subscription is cancelled first, so nothing more is charged. If you connected social accounts for one-click posting, the profile that holds those connections at our posting service is removed too, and temporary copies of videos made for posting are deleted (they expire within a day in any case).
What stays, and why
Payment records. Stripe, which takes the payments, keeps its own record of past charges and invoices, as tax and accounting law require. We cannot delete those; they no longer point to a LimeLight account.
Anything in your own browser. Songs, covers, footage and projects you used in the studio were never on our servers. They stay in that browser until you delete them in the studio's Projects tab or clear the site's data.
Anonymous statistics. If you allowed look-suggestion statistics, those rows carry four numbers about a song and the look used, with no account or user id — nothing in them can be traced back to you.
Videos you posted. A video already published to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or anywhere else lives on that platform; delete it there. You can also remove LimeLight's access from each platform's own settings (for Google, at myaccount.google.com/permissions).
How long it takes
The account and its rows are deleted the moment you confirm. Files in our storage are removed in the same step. Copies inside our providers' routine backups and server logs that mention your account's id roll over on their own schedule and are gone within thirty days. See the privacy policy for everything else we keep and why.
